We came up with this variation of the classic Bloody Mary as a non-alcoholic alternative, since I really don’t care much for vodka, gin, or any hard liquor. We find that the pickle juice cuts through the heavy tomato juice quite nicely and adds its own unique flavoring to this refreshing “mocktail”.
4 cups tomato juice (low salt)
6T Worcestershire sauce
2T lemon juice
1/2 cup dill pickle juice
4 dashes Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. Celery seed &/or fennel seed (crushed)
1/2 tsp. Mitchell Street seasoning (Penzeys) or any spicy seasoned salt
Mix all ingredients together in a large pitcher. Rim glasses with lemon juice then bacon salt (or a spicy BBQ seasoning). Fill glasses with ice and Bloody Mary mix. Garnish with pickles.
