Valentine’s Day Dinner

So here is the special surprise Valentine’s Day dinner we mentioned in this weeks “Menu Monday“: heart-shaped bacon and, as promised, “there will be pancakes!”

Cut your strips of bacon in half, then form them into heart shapes on a baking tray. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until desired crispiness is achieved.

Gather the ingredients for your favorite pancake recipe. Plus some red food coloring.

Separate your pancake batter and dye part of it red or pink. We find that using squeeze bottles makes the artistic pancake-making process easier.

Cook your pancakes on a griddle or in a pan.

Share with somebody you love!
